no comppression in cyclinder #1 b20vtec
hey honda tech i got a b20vtec i recently put together the longblock consist of a 99b20b block with type r oil pump, type r water pump, type r timing belt and rest is stock and the head is a jdm b16a head completly stock with victor x intake mani,70mm tb and stock injectors i got a vtec dizzy with brand new spark plugs and wires
when i remover the spark plug wire from cylinder #1 the car doesnt stall or anything stays the same but when i remove it from cylinders 2-3-4 the motors starts too stall which is normal so i did a compression test on my motor and cylinder #1 is at 5 psi, and all my other cylinders are at 90 psi
could this be valves in cyclinder #1 ???
help me out honda tech

try a cap full of oil in cylinder 1 and see if your still getting 5 psi. Is this the first start up of your build? or was it running for a little while?

it's probably the Rings, but i would do a leak down test or take off the head and examine the valves for any obvious signs.
But try the oil trick that TheTurbinator said tho
