Default no clutch pressure...

on my 98 civic dx i woke up one morning to feel my clutch had no pressure... if i pump the clutch the pressure builds back up but after sitting over night or for hours it goes back down... i checked the fluid level witch was low/empty... i checked for leaks and everything LOOKS/FEELS dry to what i can get to and see... no puddles in or outside car... topped off and still same issue, any suggestions

When you filled the reservoir did that go low as well overnight? I think you have a bad slave cylinder.

Leaking would point to slave cylinder I think. Otherwise, look where the pedal connects to the master cylinder inside the car for leaks.

The slave cylinder is attached to the front of the tranny just behind the radiator.. it's got a large black boot covering half of it, have a look for leaks there.

Otherwise, check master cylinder attached to the firewall (right under where you topped the fluid up), or the line itself could be cracked anywhere between those two points.

Just because you do not see a puddle underneath the car does not mean it's not leaking. Here's a quick way to find out, have a buddy help you bleed the clutch and get pressure etc.. If there's a leak I'm sure you will find it by doing this correctly.

My guess is the fluid is leaking inside the car near your clutch pedal and soaking into the carpet. Smell anything down there?

Does the clutch feel/work ok after filling it?

this is common.

slave may be bad as well.

also, check the bleed nut on the slave, sometimes they leak so slightly you can barely see it, but you can feel it
