No CEL at all
I recently I noticed that my CEL has not been coming on when I turn the ignition to on nor does it come on when I get a true code. I investigate the issue and here are th facts:
1. I have a hondata s300. My laptop will datalog the codes and see a CEL if thrown.
2. My gauge cluster is good, I have spares.
3. My bulb is good; I replaced it with a known good one.
4. I followed the service manual and grounded pin A13 and the CEL does come on.
5. I have spare stock ECUs and CEL does not comes on at all.
Anyone have any suggestions or ideas?
Thank!

Re: No CEL at all (TORQUE MONSTER)
If you have Hondata, I believe you can hook it up to the lap top and trouble shoot from there. Is your engine acting up?

That was #1 on his list
Check for continuity between connector slot 5 from the Gauge assembly connector C (pg 202-30 in Helms) and connector slot 18 from connector A from Main Harness plugged into ECU (pg 202-28). They should both be a green/orange wire.

Re: No CEL at all (civic stud)
yeap, did that, and remember the buld does light up if i ground pin a13 at the ECU tht indicates that the green/orange wire is good. but I will double check all of that again tonight.

Re: No CEL at all (TORQUE MONSTER)
GOT IT!
I re-sanded the thermostat housing ground point and the sucker worked! The weird thing is why was I able to drive the ca? Usually if this ground is bad the car wont even start. Any event, thats what fixed it, thermostat housing ground.
