Newbie Looking for help with B18 swap
Ok, Guys I am sure that this has been covered in one post or another. Sorry if I am repeating, Just please give me a hand. I have tried Searching for this a few times.
I have a 92 Civic DX. I have a motor I pulled from a 92 Integra GS ( B18A1 ?... )
I have every thing from the car except for the distributer and the wiring harness.
I also have a trans from a 2000 Civic Si.
I know the ECU will plug into my stock harness but I am wondering if I use the civic harness on the b18 and plug in the ecu, if this is going to work?
I have the Linkage from the integra also. Is this going to work?
I know the front Trans mount is different, are there any others and which ones should I use.
Otherwise are the integra axles going to work.
I really thank anyone that is able to help.

once you get the distributor, your harness should be plug and play.
the linkage from the integra should work, and the integra axles should work also.

Re: Newbie Looking for help with B18 swap (TopStreetDSM)
you are working on obd wiring differences. your DX is obd1 and the b18a1 is obd0. you can buy a conversion harness to make them work together i believe.

It is, and a conversion harness wont work with a USDM engine in a USDM car, I tried it. I put a 96 LS in my car, and I was going to buy the harness, but the guy at boomslang fab said I could just use an OBDI ecu to power the OBDII engine.

yes they should. only part that wont work is the b18a1 tranny, but you've already got that covered. swapping an obd1 motor into an obd1 car is a walk in the park.

If you wanna be a baller, try to find ITR linkage, your shifts will be shorter, plus its gold colored I think. Bling

The linkage and shifter is actually identical to all of the other '94-up integras(besides the color ).

So all rumors I heard about having shorter throws, and the linkage itself being lighter is all BS?

Re: Newbie Looking for help with B18 swap
Ok... Well if we have the linkage covered thats great...
I have the passenger side axle from the 92 Integra. I believe this is the same as the 94+ ?... As far as the driver side... Should I be using the 94+ axle with the 2000si trans and the 92 Integra GS engine?
Thanks For Any Help!!

The linkage may or not be lighter, but I've held both and couldnt tell a difference.
The throw on the shifter is the same.

What axle you use will depend on which mid-shaft you get. If the mid shaft is '90-93, use a '90-93 axle. If its '94-up, use a '94-up axle.

Re: Newbie Looking for help with B18 swap (Slopoke)
Great.... Thanks for the info on the axles...
The only other thing I was wondering is about the mounts. I have a front trans bracket from a 2000si coming. Are any of the other mounts or brakets different.
Thanks Again
