NEWB QUESTION - d16z6 swap
I tried using search and all I could find is for sale threads.. So.. here we go, I have a 00 Hatch with a blown motor, a rod broke a few months ago leaving me with nothing to drive.. My friend totaled her car (94 ex 104k) and her Dad basically told me if I part out her car for him and give him the money, I get the motor, and suspension for free, so what the hell.. I pulled the motor out and it appears to be in good condition, the block isnt cracked and the oil is still there, I had a few friends look at it and they said it looks fine it should still run, my friends Dad said it still turned over and sounded perfectly normal, so I'm taking their word for it. I just want to know what alterations I have to make to swap a 94 d16z6 in my 00 Hatch.. I just want some helpful info that will get my transportation back up, I lost my job due to this, so any helpful info is greatly appreciated because when I get this done, I get my Job back! I dont need anything like, "why are you wasting your time" - "its not worth it", its a learning experiance for me, and the motor was free, I have nothing to drive, and I am strapped for cash because all of my money is pooring into my Si Shell, any info is greatly appreciated, thanks guys

I am not entirely sure, but I believe that its illegal to put an older motor in a newer car. I could be completely wrong though. Then again. We do alot of illegal things to our cars.
