Help with O2 sensors for D14Z engine
Hi Honda friends!
I want to see if you can help me with an issue im having with my car, I have a 2000 EJ9 Civic with a D14Z engine, very rare in my country (Nicaragua Central America) and I have issues with my O2 sensors (both upstream and downstream) according to an scan I did recently, My problem is that all the parts stores here only carry parts for D15 and D16 engines and they cannot find my engine type to match the part and make sure is the right type for it.
Who knows if I can use the same sensors and get the same results on my engine type before spending money on them since I cannot return them once I open the package!
Please help!

So how did you come to a conclusion that it is your O2 causing the bouncing idle? What test have you done? What code has the car thrown

Re: Help with O2 sensors for D14Z engine
I've been reading several posts and forums on the behavior of the car and had already cleaned the IAC valve, check alternator issues and fuse and also did other maintenance processes to ensure they were not the cause, don't have the exact codes from the scanner but it was showing below normal ranges on the lectures for both sensors.
The actual answer that I'm looking for is not IF that is the issue, is WHAT sensors do you think will work for my engine model D14Z??

Go to denso website. http://densoautoparts.com/find-my-part/vehicle-selection
Put in your car info. Get the part number for the o2 sensor. Buy one.

Already checked the denso website since that is the brand that I wanted to buy, but on the engine options only gives me for 1.6 L not the 1.4 iS that I have.....should they work for the same purpose even if my engine is smaller?
I have bought other parts for a D15 and D16 engine and they dont fit like the distributor cap and other sensors as well...

They should. As long as they have the same number of wires as your current one. If yours have 4 wires any 4 wires o2 will work. Thread size is the same. Only the plug have be different. If it is, cut off the plug from the new one and solder in the one from your car.
