newb question
i was looking at a service manual for the EK and i was just sorta wondering if it's safe to just swap out the cylinder head on a D16 for a B18c, or for a cylinder head from any engine for that matter... is doing that ok as an alternative to a full on swap? and if i did do that then what else would i have to do besides get a new intake/exhaust manifold? if even that?

what do you mean don't equal??? i don't mean to drill or be a bother but from the diagrams it looked like as far as the engine block itself went all i had to do was swap out everything from the cylinder head up and change the timing belt?

what he means is that the B-series head will NOT bolt onto the D-series block and vice versa.
i'm sure it's not impossible to do, but it'll cost more than a swap to get something like that to run. just do a full swap if that's what you want.
if not, can always put on a VTEC head from a D16Z6 or a D16Y8. do a search on it and you'll find out what you'll need to do that. it's also called a "mini-me".
good luck dood.
