Default New Thermostat

Hey! One quick question. I just replaced the thermostat in my 1997 DX hatchback, and the check engine light came on and now it won't go off. What's up with that? Help anyone??

Thanks in advance,

WBW3

Actually, I never removed the sensor to get the housing off. Should I unplug the sensor and plug back in, or just replace sensor?

Maybe you should jump the ecu and get the cel code, that would help answer your question...
