New task: Chaning Head Gasket on D15B7 motor.
Its time to change my head gasket.................(****!)
Car: 92 civic DX D15B7 Motor w. 95k All original miles.
Anyways I am about to buy the following head gasket unless noted otherwise by everyone.. I was informed from a few different sources, including on this site that felpro makes great replacement of leaking honda head gaskets.
http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/de...QFP9123PT.html
Would this be the same as OEM? Or is there anything else you would recommend me doing?
Also very important, where can I pickup a cheap straight edge so I can check and see if the head has warped, if ithas I need to either buy a new head or get it machined, probably would just buy a new one.
I read this tutorial on how to complete this job:
http://hondaswap.com/general-tech-ar...ts-pics-71528/
and its VERY nice to have a friend of mine whom has been working around cars almost his entire life assisting me on this job.
I already have a new water pump and timing belt on the car, I changed that about 10k miles ago unfortunately, I should have done the head gasket then(Funny how things work themselves out).
Any help or knowledge that I can get from you guys would be extremely appreciated. I look forward to doing this one time, and one time only.
Thanks,

Ohh nice post. I am looking to change the headgasket on my roommates 93 Civic. So I am guessing this gasket fits it from the description from the site right?
Would be some help on what to buy to replace her headgasket.

You have to find out what motor is in your 93 civic first, and then match it to the head gasket to make sure.
