Default New Swaybar

Hey Folks

I currently have a 3/4" Suspension Techniques Rear Swaybar on my 2000 SiR

It has been the biggest P.O.S I have ever bought. The brackets did fit properly. I had to make custom brackets. It uses the GM Style setup where it attaches to the bottom of the shocks instead the Honda style of endlinks and it squeaks and rattles.

So I have two options.

1. Put back on the stock SiR 1/2 Inch Bar
2. Purchase another Aftermarket bar that is better designed and will work better

So what do you guys think?

If I was to get a another Aftermarket Bar what would you suggest? I was Looking at Neuspeed,Tanabe,Comptech Sport and Skunk2. I looked at Eibach as well but they only offer both bars and the 1 Inch stocker up front is fine I think

Thanks for your opinions

G

sell your current setup including your stock SiR rear sway and pick up an ITR rear sway.

Will a ITR bar fit on my car?

If so where would I purchase one? Acura Dealer? Auto Salvage?

Thanks for the reply

Yeah it fits on your car...

Search in some of the for sale threads on h-t for an ITR rear sway...it not i believe jdmhondaparts has them for $75.

Remember to keep your stock SiR endlinks and brackets and purchase a Beaks kit from http://www.beaksproducts.com.

Then install.

Thanks again for your quick response

I will look into getting a ITR Bar

I have one question though I checked out the Beaks website

Could you be a little more specific on which kit I should purchase

Thanks

Funny, I have the Suspension Techniques rear swaybar for my 93 EH3 and it fit's and performs like a ******* champ. Yeah it links up to the shocks instead of the mid-hole of the control arm, but guess what? That position is further outboard on the suspension and helps create more torsional force where you need it. I have no problem picking up a rear tire on the road course or even turning a quick 90 degrees from a stop.

I've never had any squeaks or rattles with mine either, so I'm guessing you probably fucked something up when you "custom made" brackets for yours.

The ST rear swaybar has been the best upgrade I've done to my car and I would recommend it to anyone who cares about handling.

You mean the Subframe Reinforcement Kit right

As far as my custom brackets. The reason I made then is the original brackets were too short. The Bolt coming out of the LCA was rubbing on the outer swaybar bushings so I had brackets made which were longer so the LCA bolt did not interfere with the Outer Bushings.
