Default New to this site.. new 95 Honda Civic Project!

hey everyone!
ok so im new to this site.
but anyway.
i have a 95 honda civic DX.
BONE STOCK!

i got it for free from my grandpa and it had a blown head gasket and a blown battery fuse.
well just this past weekend i replaced all of the gaskets in the engine and replaced the blown fuse.
now the civic runs.
so now my journey begins with this car.
i will post pics as soon as possible.

my question is.. where should i start on the modding process??

b18c no use in modding d series if you're looking for real power. just dd the **** out of it and save the gas monies.

seriously, dont do anything to it until after this hurricane season. this season those hurricanes might finish off what it started. just save your money and see how the levees are holdin up.

Somebody should find the person who put the wood trim in that car and tell him to kill himself. I'm sorry, its just the worst thing I have ever seen inside a Civic.

Don't know if I did the quote correctly. Anyways, IMO, leaving it automatic will more than likely cost more to be fast and win races. My 94 civic 4 dr project started life as an automatic dx engine with 188,xxx from my uncle. The engine and tranny was swapped for a d16z6 engine, si tranny, and then boosted at 10 lbs. This route was more cost effective and yielded more power than a b series swap at the time. Also, when smog time comes, all you gotta do is pop the turbo off. What can I say, I love being the underdog.

Nah, a five speed is nice, but you'll do okay in an automatic. Honda auto trannies aren't very good, but for a D-series, who cares.

yawn turbocharge d-series.b18c? better yet turbo charge that engine. HMT Dseries y0! haha. You can find HMT kits for around $500-800 on Honda-tech here. just look around. I'm not sure why these guys are bashing D's. They are pretty solid engines and are dimes a dozen.

You will prove yourself wrong. You will break any honda automatic transmission with a built engine.
