Hey guys how much coolant does the system need to refill, its a 1.5L auto, i called autozone and they told me i needed 8 gallons but that seems excessive.

i just fill it till its full, and just make sure theres no air in the lines.yeah 8 gallons no way, welcome to autozone where if u don't have a v8 , ur time is worthless, what an idiot.

Fill it until its full and bleed it to get air out there.

3 gallons of pure coolant is overkill. 1 gallon is plenty. With 1 gallon of pure coolant you get 2 gallons cause you gotta mix 50/50 with water.

u should of just got one bottle of the premixed honda coolant, its bluue and it smells like candy

Get a spill proof radiator filler cap (big *** yellow bucket). Fill your radiator, and leave extra in the filler bucket, run your engine, until the fans come on once. Don't forget to change the coolant in your overfill tank.

And for god sakes use the honda type 2 coolant.

50/50 till its full.. I usually buy one thing of coolant when I do motor swaps and thats sufficient
