new project car. the hybrid turbo sleeper. pix inside. 56k you might die here
1st time using WTDR so bear with me if all you want is pics you know what to do.
ok just bought this new(used) hatch from a guy i know. anyways it needs a LOT of work but it will be a lot cheaper than buying an engine, buying a shell, buying the turbo kit, blah, blah, blah. so i don't want to hear about my decision to buy this car. anyways here is the car, b16a turbo with lsd tranny, it came boosting a wopping 2psi on a good run so after some fiddling and uncovering some ghetto ****(wiring, pipes) its now boosting an immense 4psi pretty consistantly. it came with an LS ECU, so now im running my d16z6 p28 ecu for temp, soon to be upgraded. anyways here are the pics, its a total sleeper, body damage, mismatch wheels, 2 tinted windows(drivers and windsheild), and a black certifit bumper. oh and i just raced a friends type r (i/e) and pulled out about 2 cars on both runs. and i beat a 2.5 rs the other night pretty badly. FYI the type Rs best et to date is a 16.4 up at this bastard elevation , and he is getting faster every time he goes racing
ok enough stalling heres the pix
can't see it well but theres a pretty big hood-bumper gap and the corners are all messed up, they are amber tho.
side. pretty dirty, door was replaced and spray painted to match
back view. used to be a ww wraparound wing and not too much care was taken when it was removed.
hehe see my tach, i had no choice, temp solution till i get a new cluster. it was free
ahh the engine, classic b16 turbo, msd 6a, msd blaster pack, vortec fmu, GHETTO piping.
ahh the turbo, can someone tell me what turbo manifold that is? t28 turbo
one more engine shot for the road
ok on second thought im gonna block the license plate #, damn theives

Nice project! Always a big decision weither or not to buy a modified car, it saves you money in parts you would buy in the future, but your not sure what crap the previous owner did to it. Good luck with it the future. Let us know what she does at the track!

Re: new project car. the hybrid turbo sleeper. pix inside. 56k you might die here (Unsung EM1)
tnx for the comments, as for times etc... not too good of news i ran last night at Grand Junction, CO elevation like 5,500 ft or something similar. only got 3 runs, shifting at 7,500(i think, tach is weird) as thats where its rev limited with the d16z6 ecu, also had HORRIBLE A/F ratio, WAYYY too rich. shitty tires, blah blah blah. anyways i ran a 16.7 at like 80mph it has NO top end, at least now i know and i can fix that. i would usually pull ahead then get passed near the end . im running about 4psi on the vortec FMU, which is FLOODING the engine with gas. i only got 3 runs in and im not yet used to launching in the new car so i think i can improve my times a lot with just the launch and the ecu which should be in on monday.
so since then i raced my friends type r a few times(he ran a 16.4 same track na i/e) and if i get a good launch i win by about 2 cars but i can't really consistantly get good launches yet so sometimes he would win and other times it would be within a fender. i will let you know when i get some more of the stuff figured out ya sorry for the pic quality, my $5 cam sux.

looks like my hatch after 5+ years/200k miles of abuse. I like it because it looks like it was used for fun and someone had fun in it.
good car, hope it is not your daily driver though.
