damn, i would start with a cleaner chassis that that to start, but your choice. I did the same as you, looking for my next project. Found myself a 2000 LS Integra driven up from Florida, so never seen winter, not even a spec of rust. Bought for $400, sold the stock LS mags....and boom, a full load car for $140
It is important to start out with as clean as a chassis as possible. Super important is rust! It is not only expensive and timely to fix, but if even the smallest area not properly prepped, it will just come right back again. On most Honda's, the most common area is the back of the rear wheel quarters where they rust from the inside out. Fixing the front part you see will only be a temporary band aid. What you want is all original metal, or as close to it as possible

Mainly all original;b16 swap. The Z1 is what makes a VX. Anybody can drop weight from a car, but not any engine can run in lean burn.
[/thread jack]
The price of gas and the VX are tied together. As gas prices drop so does the VX. And they will become more available.

Re: New project 92 civic vx
the plan is street legal drag car, with-out doing any permanent mods to the shell besides cage, goal is 9/10s. the bottoms actually not that rusty, if it was i wouldn't have bought it, but its actually a good bit less rusty than all my other civics some how. ya its been in a rear fender bender they said. i paid 1800, im lucky, my dads a master welder and i have 2 qps off an ej civic for donor metal. the front subframe looks the same rust level as rear i just couldnt get pics, when i bring it in on the lift ill get good underside pics. car will be running a 200+hp goal b20b16 head, 400hp goal d16y8 turbo holset hx35 eagle/vitara BC stage2 cam, springs titainium retainers, ferrea valves, and 6-700hp goal b18c1 turbo garrett gtx3582r darton mid manly rod cp piston, head undecided, pics are just mock up, the b16 head is going to a b20vtec and the b18c head is going back on the gsr block after mahcine shop, plan is to have at least the single jingle and b20v together and in the car this summer
