New Members Ride...Flame or Fame? *Lotsa pics* B20 Turbo build
Alright....time to put the civic on the chopping block for everyone...please be gentle if you don't like it
Currently it's only got the stock d16z6 with an automatic. I have all the parts ready for my B20 build up, except for my block and pistons which are currently over at GE getting sleeved to 85mm for my Wesico pistons. I'll be running an LS 5 speed tranny (see pic...yes it's polished....don't ask....I was bored ) I don't plan on adding the turbo till next summer. I'll keep it NA for the rest of this summer to break in the engine. It should have a CR of around 9.0:1 or so. It's also going to be a NON vtec turbo.
I used to have clear corners...didn't like em...put the amber ones back in...didn't like em...so I painted the clear ones and used some lenses from I think it was some early 90's civic or CRX...I can't remember...and mounted them in my front bumber. I kinda like the look....what do you think?
Just some pics of my parts laying around...I know you guys like seeing cool new parts...Anybody ever use these bearings??? TOGA performance? I picked em up from http://www.Importperformanceparts.net. They seem to be made very well.. check the "slot" for the oil in tht bearing.
Underdrive crank pulley. Check out the size difference!
Driver and passenger Aerospeed seats.
Stage 3 ACT clutch. Extreme pressure plate with hybrid street disc. ACT prolite Flywheel.......Yummm.
Valve springs and retainers.
Just an exploded view of the valvetrain.
The head and intake manifold....should I keep it polished or paint it to match car?
85mm headgasket
Before and after of my paint job on my rims.
I should mention I did (and will do) everything myself on my car, including the paint and engine build up. Well there you go... Flame...or....Fame!

no red "X"s here... very nice.. I'm not one for kits.. but as long as your proud of your creation and also that engine sure does make it a very respectable car.. good luck with the b20 .. the wheels look good in that color as well

Re: (WiDeBoDyEK)
lets see....
i like the front, but i think if your going to keep the painted corners you should shave them in together, bondo or wahtever...just do it looks smoother.
Not a big fan of the color, but it looks like it was a good job.
Don't like the side skirts, maybe some type R's woudl be better i think...
love the new turn signals in the bottom!
engine should be awsome, good idea with leaving it NA for the summer.
Over all, very good
One thing, what kinda rims are those, and what size?

I dont get what's special about the slot in the bearing? (im not being a smart ***). Thats what its supposed to look like. Let us now how the clearance is on those bearings.

Re: (SilverCivic2k)
Ditch the kit tho... it doesnt flow at all. Keep everything the same height as the front... your side skirts are too low. Also the rear bumper is like 1/2 of a wide body kit?
Go back to stock! Make a nice sleeper. on the paint tho. (rims and car color)

Hey man, the build up looks great!
And the body kit isnt bad (not my taste, but its far from gaudy or anything!) Just go for some less agressive sideskirts. If they werent as low I think the lines of the car would flow better. Good luck man! Rick
