Default New to HT - what to do now...

First off I just wanna say "whats up" to everyone who reads this post. My first time on HT(posting anyway) and I look forward to coming back here when I need the help or to read up on things.

But anyway, after owning a Ranger for 2 years, I finally gave up on that pos and decided to buy a 4door '95 Civic Ex. I'm a bit of a car nerd and I don't like to leave things alone, I'll admit that, but as far as this Civic goes I'm not sure what to do. I was looking into engine swaps and was wondering if it's worth the hassle to get a B16 or B18 since obviously it would be more power. But if I stuck with the D16z6 I'm not sure if it's worth pumping cash into for not much of a hp gain.

I guess my main question goes out to those who did stay with a D16z6, did you like it? After building it up did you ever have second thoughts on whether you should have just did a motor swap? If you Turbo'd it , how was it?

**Edit: Also, It doesn't seem like there's much 4dr Ex's around but just out of curiosity, what do you guys think about the 4 doors?**

Bit long I know, but I gotta know some things before spending the cash on something I may not be happy with. One things for sure though, stock isn't gonna cut it...

Also, I was told about a website called http://www.hmotorsonline.com/ and wanted to know if it seems like a good site or not.

Parts for d-series are cheaper. Depends on the kind of power you want/may want in the future.

It all depends on how far you want to go with the car. A turboed dseries will a pretty damn quick car. But most of us would want to go further. Either by building the dseries to take more boost or by swapping engines. And yes, hmotorsonline.com is a very reputable website and seems to be a great place to buy engines from.

i agree with alacard ^
but id go with a b-series swap from hmotorsonline.com .. thats just me !
if you do keep the d16 id go with a turbo kit right away dont waste your money on a bunch of bolt-ons i did that with my first civic w/d16y8 and you will never make the power you want.
