Default new to the honda scene

hey guys, just recently picked up a black 97 civic hx, d16y5, i know but hey 38 mpg is great. bought if from a friend for $4000, came with si seats, si headlights and taillights, boost and air to fuel ratio gauges (was boosted by original owner) bronze rota c10's, front lip, CAI, it had obx headers but bought stock headers to pass smog, but other than that the car runs really well, doesnt burn oil and has only 130,000 original miles

Nicer than my first Honda. However, friends don't let friends rock Rotas.

nice ride man! should boost it again, My friend is looking for a 96-00 civic and we found one at a car dealer for 2800 and had a d16y5 motor and my friend wanted it so bad but after the test drive he didn't even want it at all anymore. he is used to my single cam and his d16y8 and he thinks ours are decent but this one even to me felt weaker than my automatic D15b7 and this was a standard civic. i think something was wrong with it. you had to shift at 4000 RPMS just for it to pick up dencent. and 6000 rpm for it to even pick up a little fast.

Nice civic, since its the hx, did it come with the stock rims? those are clean looking wheels if you still have em. and i agree with Travis, boost it again, the net gain in HP is worth it.
