new honda owner
hello h-t,jus recently purchased this honda civic for about 1500.had a grand cherokee before but it was totaled...long story.so i needed a reliable car with good mpg.i have never owned one before but by lookin at some of these cars on here this car has alot of potential.i was wondering if you guys could help me out with some ideas and opinions on what i should do with it!i think its a d15b7 but not sure.just did a complete tune-up yesterday but ran into a problem.not sure if this is the right spot to post it.

Re: new honda owner (forcefedferio)
im guessin the guy i bought it off try to screw me because like a week after the car started dying on me and all this trouble so i gave it a complete tune up and i noticed the plugs were terrible and the ignition coil was so beat up had to get a new one wich set me back 70 bucks.its just grime on the top because i think the radiaotor had exploded.had to change the distributor cap and wires bcause of the acid.this poor civic was in bad shape.
this is also some trouble.if you see the rubber hose leakin there thats what i tried to fix. the small fuel line that i broke that connects right below that bolt you see on the filter. trying to replace the fuel filter.its a small line that connects to it.only problem is i dont know if it reaches to the fuel rail or to then tank.anyone know?the hose goes over the line so you cant see it because its clamped.

looks like a great start, it fun to mess with honda's people just see them and expect them to be slow, so when you beat them anywhere they tend to lower there heads, with the fuel filter, i am not sure what you are talking about, is it leaking, check the lines that line you are talking about goes to the tank so be careful check for leaks. Is it bogging out? if it is then there is a cut or hole in the line check it out, look for a gas smell let me know, i am not sure what your problem is

just go grab a new one from a junk yard.
or check some boards, i'm sure you could get one for 20 bucks.
not sure how you managed to break that though....might want to take your time working on your car.

Re: (instrument)
the car looks to be a lot of work, but dont let crappy situations get u down. Keep up the build man.
Personally, I would take those headlights off and use them as target practice. But hey, thats just me.

Yeah, its not the easiest thing in the world... afterall, it was a under 2,000 and from the looks of it... the guy before you probably beat on it and might not have taken good care of it. i.e. the headlights and the big *** rims, are those 17's or 18s? But the actual hatch looks good dude, overall.

I like the original color, you should consider going back to it one day since your engine bay is still original.
Nice find for 1500, i wish i could get a deal like that.
