Just stumbled on this forum a couple of hours ago and my brain hurts from all the knoledge! I dont know a great deal about civic's so this forum is a god-send.
Anyway... I just bought a 99 Civic coupe VTI a few days ago (SI, I think you call it) and I love it! I was hoping someone could answer a few questions/concerns I have:
1) When does the VTEC actually engage? My mate says its at 5.400 RPM like on his 93 EG SOHC VTEC
2) Is it safe to reach 8.500 RPM
3) The gear stick seems loose and wobbles when in gear. Changing gear is very smooth though. Is this normal?
