ok, so im the new guy around here and i wanted to say " wow what a vast amount of info "....

that being said i have searched through about 1200 posts and didnt really find exactly what i was searching for so i thought i would ask.

i had a 00 Si a few years ago and sold it cheap to make room for the family..

what a dumb move that was, so anyways my son is no 10 y/o and interested in cars so we bought one, a 4 Dr 92 DX.
we bought it as a shell, no engine or trans just the car. it has the motor mounts modified already for an H22 swap but not sure if the swap was ever done. we haven't taken delivery of the car yet, waiting for the flat bed to go get it monday or tuesday.

so the question :
H22A or H23A ?

i see ebay has some listings for JDM H22's and H23's but most without a transmission and ecu. once i have the car, what should be next, find a JDM with trans or get one without?

this is going to be a budget drag car for the family. budget around 6000.00

the goal is 500+ WHP

currently i have a turbonetics t66 i got for FREE and and thats about it.
any help would be grateful.
