Default New Guy from Maine civic hatch exhaust question?

Hey guys,
I've got a 2000 civic dx hatch. My stock exhaust recently broke and I have been looking into getting a new system. Originally I was going to replace the broken parts with stock replacements but then found a full stainless system on ebay for way cheaper. The only problem is I am not sure that the placement of the o2 sensor(s) is correct in the aftermarket header and cat pipes to keep the MIL out for state inspection. Anyone have any experience with these ebay complete exhaust systems?

Also curious how loud (crappy) these fart cans sound? I figure I could use all of the stainless piping from the kit and replace the muffler with something better (quieter).

Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

Nate

Replace it with OEM parts, Ebay is junk. The catalytic converter on your car is in the header, if you replace the header with an aftermarket one then you will nee to buy an aftermarket cat and get it welded in right after the header. Just stick with OEM parts and the cat in the header if you need to pass inspection.

Don't do ebay exhaust, I've heard it first hand and I have to say its pretty ricey. If you don't want to spend that much money go OEM. I got skunk 2 full exhaust with stock cat for now and I was more than happy to spend the $500 to get quailty. Do what you want, but try to stay away from ebay exhaust.

Pretty much the response I thought I'd get. The manifold cat. is what I'm worried about. Not to mention the rice factor. I plan to use the car for autocross, but I also have to drive my kids to school in it.

Thanks for the input.

If thats the case, go with OEM with highflow cat, can't really go too wrong with that.
