Hey guys, yesterday I got my throttle cable changed (under warranty) because my pedal was sticky. After I left Honda everything was working perfect all the way home. I stayed home for about an hour then when I went to leave, I started my car and noticed that there was a hissing sound coming from the engine. It almost sounds like something rubbing slightly. Starts around 3000RPM and gets louder the higher you go. Its more noticeable inside the car then outside. And also I noticed that vtec sometimes doesn't kick in or doesn't feel like it should. I checked my oil and coolant and they were fine.

Any ideas what it could be?

take it back to the dealer, sounds like they may have left something loose.

I brought it back to honda yesterday and they checked over everything and they said it was fine. They think it's just the valves ticking. But this noise came out of nowhere. It wasn't gradual. The sound is like a cross between ticking/hissing and I can barely hear it at all from outside but it's loud inside with the doors and windows closed. I know it's coming from the drivers side of the car too because you can't hear it half as well from the passenger side.

hey my car made the same exact noise and no one believed me.....then 5th gear stopped working...then 4th stopped....and then as soon as you know it...im rushing home on the highway in 2nd gear.....days later mommy bought a B16 for me.....
