USDM 94-95 Honda Del Sol VTEC - B16A3 DOHC VTEC
160hp 111lbs/ft tq
there's quite a selection between the K series...
your husband is probably talking about the JDM K20A or the USDM K20A2.
JDM 01+ Honda Integra, and 02+ Honda Civic Hatchback Type R - K20A DOHC i-VTEC
220hp 206lbs/ft torque
USDM 02+ Acura RSX Type S - K20A2 DOHC i-VTEC
200hp 146lbs/ft torque
there's also K20A3 and a K24...
02+ Acura RSX, and 02+ Honda Civic Hatchback Si - K20A3 DOHC i-VTEC
160hp 132lbs/ft torque
02+ Honda CRV - K24 DOHC i-VTEC
160hp 162lbs/ft torque
then there's your Honda CRV B20 engines...
97-98 Honda CRV - B20B DOHC
126hp 133lbs/ft torque
99-01 Honda CRV - B20Z DOHC
146hp 143lbs/ft torque
its really up to you, or your husband if you want to spend the money on another motor.
i say keep the B16, then buy a different motor when that one goes.

Does he have money or something, k series swaps are hella expensive. Leave the b16a in there thats good enough, why waste the potential it already has.

I think they're trying to keep info like this over in this thread:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=878010
It all depends on your budget and what you want to do with your car (autox, road race, drag, show, audio, etc)

i would say to keep the b16 head and put a b20 block. that or build the b16 or throw a turbo. k20 swaps are really expensive. but if you have the money and really want it, its up to you

A Del Sol isn't worth the effort and $$$ it takes to drop a K in. Just drop in a nice turbo kit on that B16 and boost it 'til you blow it.

Keep the B16a! The money you would put to have your B16a takin' out and have a K series put in......would not be worth it. Throw some good money down into the engine you have and run w/ it
