Re: New Front end Conversion (bbbleondacomeup)
it's kind of hard to tell you what to do because this is a matter of personal preference. Personally, i usually like the bumper and more angular headlights if the 1999 or 2000 civics. But in some cases, i think the other bumper and headlights look really good w/ foglights and the lip (or si-r). But i just told u what i like, not what you like. But in case you do go the conversion route, make sure the fitment is good.

yeah it's a matter of preference, but are you just doing the front end exterior? or you doing the engine swap as well? if you got the money then go for it man. gl with whatever you do.

there was a 1997 ctr with the same 96-98 spec bumper.

Front end conversions are fine on the same chassis generation, the front end swap is pretty easy. It's only been covers abotu 34,445 times now.
You need 99-00 fenders, hood, bumper, grill, headlights, and radiator support unless you don't mind cutting a bit of the bumper or grinding some of the radiator support.
all 99-00 civic coupe/hatch front ends are the same.

Re: (ek forever guy)
99-00 is my favorite, not really diggin the older front end style (96-98), thats just my personal opinion. To the OP whichever you have a budget for, go with it, lol. Reason why I like the 99-00 front end, is because of the placement for the foglights

I agree. It just adds character to the front end, where I think the 96-98 bumper looks bland and detail-less.

If you do decide to go with the 99-00...dont go with a ctr or an si...just find a good ol' one for like 300 bucks, and then buy some ctr headlights and a ctr/si grill later on down the road.

Then i guess he can make his own personal preference and make a post on H-T and ask about what he should do. I like the 96-98 front end more, you like the 99-00 front more. So i guess the guy can make his own decision by himself and not have to ask
