Default New Distributor >> Runs Like ****

I got a enw distributor and new coil today for my 93 coupe. It runs like **** now. When I accelerate it feels like the engine is hesitating till about 3k rpm.

Does anybody know what my problem could be, does it have anything to do with the distributor?

I had it done by my mechanic, he said that my timing belt was off by two or three teeth, which i will fix as soon as i have time. But it never ran this bad before.

take the distributor off and spin the shaft 180, then put it back on and see if it helps.

Well it turned out that when my distributor broke it made the timing belt jump a tooth so the timing belt was off. I fixed it and now it runs better than ever, even better than before.

when the dist bearing dies and siezes, you can make the timing belt jump if you're unlucky.

Yes, A friend of mine who works at an Acura dealer says it happens all the time. The worst case of a siezed dist. shaft snapped a timing belt.
They didn't realise it was the dis. that was siezed until after they replaced
the timing belt and the engine still wouldn't spin.
