Default New to the civic

Okay...I'm going to be purchasing a civic...probably a 92-95....is there any model I should worry about getting in order to get max hp and tq results from mods? Is any year better in the 92-95 range? I really want an EX because of the more powerful engine...but I've been told that you can just get a DX...chip it, intake, and exhaust and you would be out performing the EX. Is this true? Anyways...I'm not an engine buff...so I thought I'd ask you guys since you seem to know your stuff.

Thanks!

I say, get your 92-95 civic hatch. Then get a swap. You can get a good deal on a hatch if you are patient and look around...and i mean around. Check out some auctions and stuff. If you are looking for an engine swap you shouldn't care about the motor in the car. Sometimes you can find the shell for like 4-500 bucks(sometimes.... ) But get a hatch and an engine swap. b20vtec would cost you about 3800 total. That might be a good way to go.

Peace

also if you go the swap route get a VX it has the VTEC wiring and it is the lightest model.

Not true. Go for an SI or EX unless you wanna swap the engine. Not much difference in 92-95, except mines a 92 and it came without airbags. Definately look around though.
