new car, new problems

I have researched site and have already replaced the cv seal on the passenger axle, stopped that fluid mess. Another mess has come up, fluid is leaking onto downpipe and puddling in middle of car. At first I was sure it was oil pan gasket and bought another and have yet to do the job but strange thing is the oil level isnt changing. Not confident that this isnt still trans fluid leaking from somewhere. Anyone have any insight or this experience before? Most important part of info the car, its a 98 civic hatch with a b18c1 with lsd manual. Thanks in advance.

So clean down all the surfaces so you can identify the leak better.

Anytime I have issues like that, that I'm unsure where it's coming from. I grab a pair of car ramps and head down to the local DIY car wash and hose the engine down (underneath mainly) then drive home and do a good visual inspection.

Engine cleaner is great. Just don't spray it on when the engine's hot, and don't leave it on too long.
