Default New car

Hey im new to honda, i previously had an mx6. I just baught a 94 hatch dx with 115,000 miles on it. What main problems does this car tend to have? And it already has a header, full exhaust, intake, a shortshifter, and it is lowered. Does anyone have any other suggestions with what other mods i should do?

Well, welcome to Honda Tech first of all. Second, the search feature on here works very well. There is plenty of info to help you and your project. Honda's have their problems just like any other car, but in my opinion, the problems are easy to diagnose and fix. Fixing up your car depends on your goals. What do you want to achieve?

haha yea i just saw the search button. I want to make the car quicker. Ill have about 500 to spend on it right now, so any suggestions would help. My mx6 ran a 16.1, is there any way i could touch that in this car? i havent got 2 drive it yet, because the tital hasnt arrived.

Well I have a 94 dx and my ingniter module in the dizzy went out. IACV, and my tranny is bad but that is prolly the previous owners fault. That is proly all you can get out of that engine with that many miles, so i would either do a b series swap and turbo or get the same engine with less miles and just stick with bolt ons.

w/ that many miles...a swap is a VERY good idea. I'm not sure how much an LS complete swap goes for, but that might be a good idea for you. Especially if you plan to go turbo

There are many options for shops out there. My company will open up in November, and prices are going to kick ***!

jhpusa.com is a great place, and passwordjdm.com, and optauto.com those are my favorites, but there are sooooo many more good ones as well.
