New build... need ideas.. D SERIES fans! Help?
Hey so yeah...
Sold my 98 Accord a while ago, bought a 92 DX hatch (auto). And went to Mobile Dynamics...
Just looking for ideas on the build engine wise... I'm not looking too crazy (stick with the N/A D series due to insurance)
What I had in mind thus far..
D16Z6
EK EX/SI header
Vibrant CARB approved High-flow cat, ultra quiet resonator, and flat black oval muffler (2.5" inlets and outlets on all) though custom piping
ZC pistons/rods
PNP, 3 way valve job
Cam, valves, springs and retainers (suggestions?)
Larger throttle body, though stock airbox (going to make fibreglass ductwork from the bumper inlets to the box)
Intake manifold (suggestions?)
I am going to swap the car to manual once the engine is done and in.. and when I have some spare money...
I just want to have the engine in for the season... and to be able to pass emissions...
Thanks!

You will only see marginal power gains from doing the all-motor set up you described. Hell, you can throw together a custom turbo kit for half what you would spend doing n/a. Trust me d series are nothing like their b series counterparts. D's will only be fast with a turbo setup. Check out Turbod16.com
