Re: New Billet Aluminum LCAs (acura_typer)
Honestely, I have a different set already, which were painted black. I understand what they are and what they do-thank you.
I don`t like blatant advertising either, but that`s another story.

Yes, they have been tested. Look:
That deflection is at 288x. The blue/green color is positive, red negative.

I jsut don't like LCA's with a camber adjustment built into them.
Adjusting camber from the bottom changes the track of the car. I prefer to adjust camber up top.
And that testing doesn't demonstrate the twisting the arm would see from a stiff sway bar.

Re: New Billet Aluminum LCAs (tonyXcom)
yeah, but it wouldnt change the track by all that much, and, narrower track in the rear is more previlant in 'race' cars anyway.

I'd also like to see a test that shows how much of a twisted load those arms can handle. I'd get them, but powdercoating wouldown those things so fast.

yeah, but in some "race" cars, adjusting the track is illegal.

Re: New Billet Aluminum LCAs (tonyXcom)
then you can leave the camber adjustment in the 'stock' position, and still end up with a better solution than a factory part, thats my guess anyway.

Re: New Billet Aluminum LCAs (acura_typer)
ohhh, the camber is adjustable, probably an eccentric bushing?

Re: New Billet Aluminum LCAs (acura_typer)
so when is someone going to make aluminum lcas for the front that you can attach a swaybar to?
i dont see how these are any different from the SRR, except these look less strong.

Re: New Billet Aluminum LCAs (euclid)
they look stronger to me actually. The SRR one is really narrow, like the stock EK one. And, these are for EG, the SRR one is EK only.

Trust me, the SRR ones are plenty beefy where they need it. They have also been race tested as well.
And finally, they do make them for the EG now. Saw them with my own eyes a few days ago.

Re: New Billet Aluminum LCAs (tonyXcom)
News to me. I'd believe these have been tested as well, we all know the liabilities of selling a product and having it fail because of not testing it, or lying about the testing ( read: ford explorer/firestone tire)

Im not trying to imply they havent been tested.
But for a "race" peice, you figure they would have had a twist test done.
As far as liability goes... do these say "For off-road use only" in any literature that will come with them? Cuz if they do, that will protect them from almost all liability claims.
And you are defending/representing this product pretty strong to have no vested interest in it.
