I got a 97 civic with 96000 miles, i just noticed that both outer cv boots are cut with greese dripping out. Is that usual that with this milage on the car, I get such problems and need an axle replacement ?

2 weeks ago I went to midas guys to check on the brakes as a preventive measure, though i didnot have any problems. They mentioned one axle outer boot has broken. Now when i looked at the both front axles, I noticed that both the outer cv boots are dripping greese.
I am little suspicious on midas guys i think they did something as they know the tricks of the trade. But anyways not to blame anyone.
Apparently I have to get the axles replaced. I was wondering if Autozone axles are ok to use or should i buy em from honda ?

honda ones are ****** expensive, jus get the autozone ones cuz usually they come with a lifetime warranty. I know napa offers a lifetime warranty, snap em and bring em back for new ones

i agree go to napa they give me new ones everytime without question. you cant beat that lifetime warranty on axles or you can just shell out several hundreds of dollars for stronger ones that should not break you make the call
