"Search" can be done on other sites too...like google.com. Try neuspeed.com.

no good on those year civics since th eupper front control arm does not go thry the top of the tower, it does go thru the sides.
install with the PROPER style of bolts is a bitch.

that is why my roommate with a '00 hatch gave me his neuspeed bar for $50 for my '92 hatch.

HTH

Me? Nope. I mean on a 2000 civic dx hatch, the bolts that hold the upper control arm to the shock towers are actually on the sides not the top of the shock tower. There are NO bolts where you would mount the neuspeed bar on my roommates 2000 civic dx hatch... maybe this is a change in only 2000 civics, but I figured it was 99-01 civics.

-the original question was for 99-00 civics, not 98 and older.
-interesting pic of your 99 lx, maybe the upper control arm design changed in 2000?

my neuspeed strut tower bar looks exactly the same as in the pic in my 97 hatch. very easy install, remove 4 bolts, put on bar, screw 4 bolts back on. you'll notice a difference too

What happens if it's in the wrong place anyway? Never really knew why it had to be placed properly, just as long as it was grounded to the frame.

From my research, the 5th gen civic upper a-arms are held by the bolts on the top of the shock tower. On the 6th gens, maybe just the 99-00 civics, the upper a-arms are held by bolts on the side of the shock tower, hence making the strut bar innefective....I could be wrong.
