Default Neuspeed spings(makingNoise)

I have an 2003 civic, and i noticed a couple of days later that when i turn the wheel that something makes a clicking sound. Does anyone might have an idea what the noise is or any problems with the sport springs on there 01 + civics?

ok first, u might want to change your avatar, im pretty sure pornography is not allowed. If you hear a clicking noise its might be your axle. check for a torn boot or bad axle

You had better get rid of that avatar before a Mod gets rid of you. And to answer your question....a "clicking" sound usually means that your wheel bearing or CV axle is being owned by normal wear and tear. If your springs squeak THEN they just need to have some electrical or 100mph tape wrapped around the first couple of coils. It is what I did and no more squeak for me!

Yeah...It's almost definitely a CV joint. And that's kind of a bad thing. If you have a lowered car it helps to check your CV boots periodically; Actually, check them every time you lift your car for any routine maintenence such as oil changes. It only takes a 5 second inspection. If you ride with a torn CV boot for too long, the axle grease gets spun out of the joint causing it to quickly wear and eventually break.
Axles have inner and outer boots. If you hear clicking when you turn...it's probably an outer boot/joint.
Get it fixed before the damn thing breaks and you'll have to spend lots of money you don't have.

But what the hell do I know? I'm a trial user. 1st post.

I just put the springs on sat., would a joint go bad that quick. Plus it only does it when i turn the whell past a certain point to left or right. I was always under the impression that a joint that is bad clicks when ever your wheel spins.

CV boots don't necessarily rip ONLY when you have a lowered car. And even though it's uncommon for a CV boot to tear on a such a new car...it's not unbelievable. Sh*t happens, right?

And nah...joints shouldn't click when wheels are spinning straight. They'll click when the wheels are turned left or right (because this is when the joint has to pivot)

Ah..but again..what the hell would I know?

I know the boot is not ripped. I think it just might be the spring movin around. I really don't know how it would?

None of the inner/outer boots are ripped?
Oh. Then, having not heard the actual sound coming from your car myself, I could only speculate. There's a lot of things. Maybe once you turn your wheels past a certain point it gets close enough to the plastic in the wheel wel and is hitting something that's loose. Another possible answer, considering you have a lowered car.

Or maybe it has nothing to do with your wheels? Maybe it's your steering column.

Or maybe you didn't check your boots thoroughly? And maybe you did.

Maybe it's just a manufacturer defect. And maybe the CV joint is going bad even though the boot isn't torn.
Maybe the factory forgot to put grease in the boot.

Or maybe it IS just your springs clicking? What does the clicking sound like? High? Low? How fast does it click?

See its not really a click. It kind of sounds like a pop of like spring. But the springs should not make any sound like that. I called neuspeed and the way 01+ civs front shocks are designed is that there is the normal rubber like cup on the top of the spring that the strut goes through then a plastic cup that connects to another cup that has the studs that connect to the upper part of the wheel well, that bolts in the engine bay. The one guy said when u take em apart that u need to relub em cause that part moves. So I am goin to go back to my dude at honda and try that and hopefully that helps. But when i first got em on and checked them the second time I did not start hearing that sound till the next day after reasembling the springs. Who KNows. Thats y i want someone with an 01 + to let me know if they are having anypromblems like that.

i know your problem. between your pillow mount and the spring cap there should be a flat bearing. you might have that backwards/upside down. change that around and your problem sloved.
