needs help!! turbo problem
i need help..i just installed a greddy turbo kit on my 95 civic dx..its a tdo4 turbo, it includes a fmu, a homemade one way valve, and a front mount intercooler....
heres the problem..whenever i go over 2 psi of boost, the car bugs out and the check engine light comes on, and the car starts idling funny..i turn off the car and turn it back on, then its all good again until i hit 2 psi...
please give me info about this problem..thanks

its a used turbo kit..the person that i bought it from said it will work..in which i agreed...will that be much of a problem?

im not sure about the homemade one way air valve ..could someone explain how it actually works and where actually should i hook it up to? thanks

Definatly post in the forced induction forum. But in my opinion there shouldn't be a problem with the set up. If everything is solid and tight it doesn't really matter what car you use it on. The problem is when the the computer can't comprehend what is going on with the rest of the car. For example if your car is meant to be run NA the O2 sensor will pick up a certain amount of air going into the engine and the computer will try to put in the right amount of fuel. Now with forced induction you may be getting way to much air and not enough fuel. This could force you engine to buck and your check engine light to come on. It almost like you are stalling the car. You may just need larger injectors and a new tune on your computer. Like I said though I think you should post in the Forced induction forum they would know better. Good luck!!!
