could be one of a million problems.. lol check for a vacuum leak or leaks between the head and intake manifold or the TB to the IM. most common problem.

does it sound like you could hear a leak..? like hearing the cams slap etc.. cant really explain it..
You could always spray a mist of water at the Intake manifold, and header to see if thats the problem area. More than likely if it was your map your car would be almost undriveable period, and you would be throwing a CEL code.
If you are check the number.

Re: Needing Help Car Idles bad (HondaKid936)
iacv is expensive if thats not the problem... do you have a check engine light on???? spray carb cleaner in the area of the intake manifold and throttle bodie if the RPMs shoot up you then know there is a leak in the area. if not. your iacv may need to either be replaced or cleaned... umm checking the year...... what motor is it???? i cant find it. if you have a fast idle air controll it could be that but that all depends on what year and motor. it could also be a sensor in the intake area. ie map/iat or such. i had this one site on hand that showed all the reasons why a honda would have a wack idle... im sure there are million+ threads on this topic. good luck. in the mean time i will search for the site for you.
