Need your votes for SCC USCC
Fellow del Sol enthusiasts: I need your vote in order to participate in the Sport Compact Car 2002 Ultimate Street Car Challenge (SCC USSC). I am very excited to have been selected as one of the 92 potential participants of this event. My car appears on page 168 of the July 2002 issue of Sport Compact Car (SCC). According SCC, only 10 of these cars will be selected (i.e. the ten with the most votes).
In order to vote, you must fill out the ballot on page 189 of the July 2002 issue of Sport Compact Car. As per the rules, no copies of the ballot will be accepted. So in order to vote, you must obtain a copy of the July issue of SCC. I tend to find them at Albertson’s magazine sections or most book stores (Borders, Books A Million, etc).
You will also find Hilario Cruz's '95 del Sol (car #27, listed directly above my own entry). There are many great cars in this group, and the ballot is organized such that you vote for the ten top cars that you would choose out of the 92 listed (not just one car). The results of last year’s Challenge are available in the March 2002 issue of SCC.
I would very much appreciate the opportunity to represent the del Sol in SCC's Ultimate Street Car Challenge. I believe that I have the resources to be very competitive in this event and I am willing to “play hard” to put on a good show. I am already looking into purchasing drag slicks, Z10 traction bar, and a manual boost controller. The SCC article does not mention that my del Sol is automatic, and I am very proud of that fact. The rebuilt performance transmission is very competitive, and I believe would score extra points in the judging.
Thanks for your vote! If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me at stevelewis@email.com And also, I would greatly appreciate any help in prepping the car for this competition. Sponsors, parts that I could borrow, etc.
Thank you!

Re: Need your votes for SCC USCC (AutoSol)
Uh, what are your mods? An automatic Del Sol? Do you think you can hang with a Ferrari 360? Better be packing two engines or something.
