ok, so my beater's (hyundai excel) distributor broke, right where the tooths that meet with the camshaft, i suspect the camshaft is junk too and the cost of replacing it would be more than the value of the car. i already replaced the whole motor once and it was not worth it. on the other hand, one of my buddies is selling his del sol for cheap. nothing wrong, just an automatic. i was thinking about a b20 vtec turbo with my left over parts from my first turbo setup, but manual. this is not my chasis of choice but i do need a winter beater and i think it would be nice but would it be worth the trouble with the conversions?

I'd like to have a Del Sol for a track car...Buy it, leave it stock, build a motor over winter, and then decide if you want to use the Sol, or buy other shell. If you want another shell, sell the Sol and pick up whatever you want after winter.

buy it ain't nothin wrong with a del sol, blow the top off a few times on a sunny day and it'll grow on ya.

i want my daily to be roomy and the delsol just isn't, i think i'll buy it for cheap and sell it for a lot more after winter. maybe the auto to manual isn't worth it.

i like the look and all but i don't like the fact that it's a 2 seater and packed inside. also heavy. i think i'll sell it for a 92-95 hatch.
