Default need your advice

I have a chance to purchase a 94 gsr for $8000 with 80k miles that has a cold air intake, exhaust, and is lowered. I will be trading in my 94 ex for it. Is this a good price for this kind of car. I have spent way too much money on trying to make my ex perform like the b16. I am looking for an engine with a good base to start over. Also I am married so buying a new gsr is out of the question due to the wife not thinking imports are that important. (I know I will smack her for you all)

look around on recycler, autotrader, and kellys blue book and see how much a 94 gsr goes for. the mods shouldnt make a difference, it should still be sold like it was stock, or even less.

Starting off with the B series motor is always beneficial in a way that you can increase the ponies a lot easier than the D series motor. Well think about this, you have 170 ponies to begin with so right there, you are already beating your Civic Ex with it. From there the progress goes on so, I say you buy it, you will never regret it. The price though, hmm, I don't know, you might be able to buy it a little less, but for me it does sound resonable....
