just put in ex gauge cluster in my eg hatch. Everything works properly, but the tach tells me that the car is idling at 0 rpm. Plus at top speed the tach never goes over 4 grand in any gear. wtf?! Anybody got any suggestions? Search has turned up nothing so far.

did you replace the tach needle? if it came off and you just pushed it back on, that could be the inaccuracy.

all i can think of is double check your connections, and check the tach wire.
