need wiring diagram for fuel pump!! either electrical prob. or dead fuel pump
like the title says. i need this diagram i searched and nothing!!!! my fuel pump just like everyone elses turns on and makes a noise before you actually turn on the car. But sometimes it doesnt turn on because I don't hear it. I have an alarm installed on my car which I did but I know it has nothing to do with it since everything works fine (alarm is fully functional, and all accessories get power and work fine). Now either its not getting electricity to the fuel pump ( only whenever it wants) or the fuel pump is getting power but its just not working. Any suggestions post up!!!! thanks

before you jump the gun, this could be a number of problems, most likely not the fuel pump like you suspect, first, inspect the thermostat engine ground, just left of the throttle body, and where the lower radiator hose exits the block, there will be a set of brown and black wires bolted to the thermostat housing, make sure that they are on good and tight and that they are clean. tends to be the most common problem.
Second, the main relay could be going bad, id look into getting it tested, and they are only like 45 bucks from the dealer, so look into that as well.
Also, recall any work that you may have done that started the problem in the first place. almost all the block sensors will not work if that ground is not connected, which is why the main relay is connected to it, to prevent the car from starting.
if this doesnt help, let me know if you recently did any work to the fuel pump of your car.

Ok before you do anything at all what you have to do is get a test light and see if your getting power to the fuel pump(with the key on). Now if you are getting power to the fuel pump then the problem is you have a bad fuel pump. If you do not have power to the fuel pump then its your main relay or a fuse. Very simple.
