Need Traction?
I just bought a 92 hatch with a LS turbo motor. It has Eibach springs with 14 inch steel wheels. I can not get traction for ****. I am definitely going to get bigger rims and some sticky tires. I was wondering what people are running out there and what else can be done to eliminate wheel hop and spinning. Sorry for spelling. TIA

get 15 inch rims with Falken Azenis, urethane bushing kit for the front suspension and Z10 radius arms. that should button up your suspension quite nicely. you'll only wheel-hop with that setup if you're dropping the clutch from 6000rpm.

Re: Need Traction? (Archidictus)
So you would go with 15's over 17's? The urethane bushing kit for the front suspension where I would go to get that? Are there different brands? What would you reacomend. Sorry new to the import scene. TIA

I've got 15's also...
Enkei RF-1's
stock 99/00 Si wheels
205/50/15 Bridgestone Potenza RE 910 on both sets

Re: Need Traction? (jg)
So the consensus here is that most people are running 15's? What are the widest tires you can go with without having rubbing issues?

Ummm...just springs?
Get some damn shocks.
Springs support the weight of the car, with flexibility.
Shocks control the oscillation of those springs, i.e. better shocks will not let the wheel bounce off the ground in the first place.
If you're running on stock shocks, none of that stuff they are talking about, short of the Z10 traction bars thingies, is going to be as effective as a good set of shocks.
