Need tips RE: Situation!
Ok so I have a starter that I pulled off to get rebuilt and found out there was only on bolt holding it on! Looks like the owner before be broke off a bolt inside.
I got an extractor and drilled the bolt the size the extractor called for but the because the bolt did not brake off even it was very hard to drill the hole! It ended up off center and is close to the edge of the original threaded hole. So the end result I can not get the extractor to grip the bolt it starts to grip the threaded hole the outside and the broke off bolt will not turn out! If I try to use a smaller extractor the drilled hole in the bolt is to big and it will not grip.
So any one have any suggestions any tips?
thanks Darren
