dang you helped out ..
what kinda budget are you on?..
dsm turbos are perfect for the stock sohc.. a 14b or t25 that is ... on a built motor yes i would want something bigger, as for a cam i wouldnt even bother with it.. as for i havent seen anything really that excites me .. but if i was gonna build the head i'd prolly go with a full crower valvetrain(if your gonna build the head might as well build the block).. people have different opinions so maybe some will chime in .. as for as tuning .. hondata, uberdata, aem.. crome .. just a few .. and manifolds well lovefab, full race, neukin, peakboost, greddy, rev hard, blox(i wouldnt get).. but if your looking for cheap you could get an hf manifold and get a flange made.. then a wastegate well a tial 38mm would be good .. hopefully everything else can be figured out .. but go to
http://www.turbod16.com for lots of info.. also have extra money for dyno time.. and i wouldnt run no more than 10psi on stock engine .. i feel 10 is pushing it
anything else just ask .. ill say what i know
sorry for the cluter

Re: need tips on boosting d16z6 (haveaniceday)
i ran 10 psi on a stock z6 for about 3 months untuned with just a safc2... didnt work out long i blew it racing a 350z but i was ahead... anyhow 250 wheel power on a d16z6 w/ a turbo ull definatly have to build the block better, and run 10+ psi and tune it right. but set ur goal alil lower if ur not going to build the motor before u boost.
and if ur just new to all the turbo stuff/on a low budget and ur going homemade dont expect 250 whp
