Regardless of what the redline is, why do you want to take it up that high? That motor makes next to nothing on horsepower and torque. That is an economical motor to get you from point A to point B. No need to redline.
If you do want to know, I'm guessing in the 6,200-6,400 range.

The motor can, your ECU won't let it. Since the redline on the ECU is at 4,500 RPM, you're probably going to bounce off the rev-limiter in the area of 4,600-5,000 RPM.
Check your timing and ignition system and find out why it's running rich. Also, do a valve adjustment while you're at it. 8 valves, wouldn't take much time.

Like I said, that motor makes next to nothing on power. It's the weakest motor of the 1992-1995 chassis. It's an 8-valve motor made for economical reasons. Yes, a DX motor is more powerfeul than a CX motor. You should have swapped a D15B7. Would've costed you the same. Except you get 102hp instead of, what, 90.

Yeah you might wonna swap it out for more potent d series, if you drive that thing everyday. I would end up with heart attack because that thing would barely go up to speed. I would be worrying about making it home/work.
