need suggestions for mods on eg with b16.
Ok so i have a eg with a jdm b16a SiR II with short ram intake, usdm type r headers, type r intake manifold, 2.5 in. Srs exhaust, and a type r tranny with stage 2 clutch.. i am still in high school so money is really tight... my question here is what would be the best power producing mods for the best deal or are affordable for a high school student like me?

uhh turbo or N/A?
DD im guessing?
short shifter new bushings.
get a tuneable ecu program and get a tune. and run IHE for awhile...everything from that point on is gonna be costly.

start saving for boost, fuel system upgrades, ingnition upgrades, ecu.
Best thing my friend ever did to his b16 was boost and tune.

thanks for all the input.. it is a DD and eventually would like to go turbo... i was thinking a skunk2 intake manni and tb. headers. and not sure what all else. its got suspension and paint is ok. i was thinking about turbo later but what will a turbo do with a basically stock motor? will it be able to handle like 8psi?

200-300+ any more then that i think you will really be stressing the interanals.
If you do intake manifold and tb you will need a tune to see the true performance.

i have heard both good and bad about ebay turbo. but as Mcvtec siad, peice it togher.
My friend took a few months and like 2k but now has a turbo kit made up of all top of the line parts. Deals pop up all the time and there is noithing wrong with buying used parts.

Save up and get a good turbo, piece it together like ^^^^^ said. Ebay turbo's are made from poor quality parts and I am fairly sure they are not balanced. Ebay turbo usually = Epic Fail!

You do realize a T25 will run out of air way before VTEC even engages right? A 255lph Walboro for $50-80 on Ebay is not a real Walboro and WILL FAIL prematurely.
Get a 4.7 or 4.9 final drive and then attend as many driving events as humanly possible. You need to learn how to drive and be fast with what you already have before you go adding things.

I'm sure it does, because it's a T25. However it's still a T25 and it still has the ability to flow about as much exhaust gases as a slug's colon.
Considering the T25 is already spent at 4800 RPMs on a highly inefficient SR20. Imagine what it'd be like with a much more efficient head.

Re: need suggestions for mods on eg with b16.
especially one running to 8300rpm.
sounds like your off to a good start. when you said header up there did you mean skunk2 header? or like ramhorn turbo manifold header? because don't waste money on a new header just to throw it out for turbo.
should be ok on 8 psi. crank gives out as mentioned above.
it was said like 10hp for 1 psi. i think.
be awesome when this is done.
