I was going to put a stereo in my sisters car but whoever installed one before and cut up the harness. Can someone tell me what wires go where. (to what speaker + or - ect)

I had the same problem in a 88 civic so here is what I did: remove the speakers from the doors and look at the wires coming off each speaker the speaker should also be labeled for polarity +,- write down wire color and stripe color along with polarity for reference,do the same for the rears but you should be able to access them through the trunk without removing them.Use a test light and find your constant +12v source and find +12v accessory wire and make note of them.For the ground wire you can either make your own or use the one for the radio it might be tied to your cigarette lighter ground as well.

Note:make sure you check your accessory lead +12v by turning the key on to ACC and back off again the test light will light up when key on to ACC then off when key is OFF.

The constant +12v will always be on cause that is used for memory and radio function too!

If you mix up +12v constant and +12v ACC the radio will not operate properly.

I know it sounds like a lot of work but it should only take a few minutes to do,good luck!

If you don't have a test light you can pick one up cheap at any auto parts store.

Cant you just go by the wires that were cut or did you already rip it all out!
