need some pointers with 98 dx please
I have a completely stock 98 civic dx auto ( ) I wish I can get rid of the thing all together, but it's not possible. Some friends told me to go with an LS Vtec and some said something about timing belt. Today some one metioned B20. I'm completely lost and would appreciate any advice. Thank you! Oh, keep in mind that I'm pooooooor.

Unfortunately poor does not go good with a D series automatic.
5 speed conversions are costly. Your best bet would be to swap in an automatic B series motor. I'd go with a B18B1 (LS motor) since you're poor.
Just curious...why isn't selling it an option?

Hi,
Dont worry. You got the right car. What you make of it is your decision. Search honda tech and read read read READ. Use the seach engine and many of your questions will be answered.
If you want to start to upgrade your car focus on the simple quick things. They are usally cheaper and that way you wont find yourself not knowing what to do half way through a task(trust me it sucks). If that happens anyways search for what you are doing on here I bet it has been covered and it will be faster than waiting for replys.

Re: need some pointers with 98 dx please (LSDelSol)
thank you for the reply. I can't sell the car because I can't afford a new car. My first car was used, and I had to put a little bit of money into it every month so I will not buy another used car. At the same time I don't have enough for a new one so... There's a chance of me gettin' an '02 Si. What u think?
