what tranny fits my d15b vtech motor. are all the d-series tranny direct bolt ons?

yes, i recomend using the y8 tranny s40

any d-tranny will bolt up to any d-block. the z6, y8, and zc has the shortest gearings, the y8 has steel shift forks

also, if i buy a used one what kind of miles should i be looking for.

any 92-98 civic ex or si. the ex 2 door has a little shorter 5th than the 4door, and certain hatchback si have an even shorter 5th. mileage isnt an issue. abuse is.
