Honda-mike

Ok, i am a total nub when it comes to cars and i was thinking about starting to learn about them. Im looking for a car that can be fast and will be relatively easy to work on and has a lot of options to do things to, what kind of car should i get and what should i look for? What kind of engine? i was thinking along the lines of some kind of honda , 92-2000 so that is why i posted here. Any help of feedback would really help out a lot, unless your just calling me a nub =P.

haha i found that funny...anyway it's in whatever your taste is in my opinion the easiest cars to work on and learn about is any civic or integra between the years of 92-00 or a del sol 93-97.....88-91 civics/crx's arent bad either. It's up to you to decide what bodystyle you want and you're in the right place to learn.

mostly i am looking for speed , i've been reading posts since ive started and you all refer to motors like b16 what does that mean and hwere do i learn about them?

An eg hatch is a 92-95 civic hatchback. And dx refers to the model DX,CX,SI just to name a few
