Need some help on wiring a 97 Civic Harness
*This is a repost because im getting NO response from the hybrid section*
I know this isnt done or done very often. I got the motor for free since he swapped a new motor in. I have a 94 Del Sol SI motor (D16Z6) and I have a 97 Civic im putting it in. Im using the 97 Civic Harness and modding it to fit BTW.
1.) IAT Location - On a 97 Civic EX where is the IAT sensor plug placed on a stock harness? What colors are the wires for it? Im throwing a code 10 and used the plug that is tied in with the fuel injector clips for my IAT.
2.) Alternator Problem - I changed the plug from a OBD2 plug to a OBD1 plug. There were only 2 wires that were similar so I just matched up the plugs (clips facing up) and soldered the wires accordingly. I guess that isnt goint to work because its throwing a code 20, The Electronic Load Detector.
3.) Where is the Power Steering Pressure Switch plug at? I cant find it anywhere around.
4.) What Bracket - Will a rear tranny bracket from a 00 Civic DX work for this swap. I tried the one from the del sol and it didnt work. So my buddy gave me the one from his civic to try.
Thanks Guys.

As far as the tranny bracket yes, as long as its not from a auto. Anything else i cant help you out, i dont know anyone with a ex Ek. You may want to see if you can find a obd1 engine harness. it might be easier for you. Good luck to you. And if you do figure it out please post it on here, for Future refrence, or even do a write up on it.

Well on the 96-00 Civics you have to use the factory harness, as it plugs all the way into the ECU. I need someone with a 96-98 Civic EX to help me find this.
